Hartland point lighthouse sketch | Limited edition fine art print from an original drawing.

Perched on a precipitous ledge along Devon’s "Coast of Wrecks," the Hartland Point Lighthouse is a Victorian engineering marvel built in 1874 to guide ships through one of England’s most dangerous nautical bottlenecks. Standing at the junction of the Atlantic Ocean and the Bristol Channel, it was constructed under extreme conditions on a platform blasted directly from the cliff base. Though it was once manned by keepers who braved its isolated "shrieking" fog sirens, the site is now automated and serves as a stark reminder of the power of nature; rapid coastal erosion has claimed its original access roads and dwellings, leaving the beacon standing alone against the encroaching sea.
The original artwork is ink and Windsor & Newton watercolour paints on Saunders Mill NOT 300 gsm watercolour paper. Signed and numbered.
