Heptonstall is a historic hilltop village in West Yorkshire, England, known for its steep, narrow cobbled streets that have remained largely unchanged for centuries. It gained literary fame as the final resting place of the American poet Sylvia Plath, who is buried in the graveyard of St Thomas the Apostle Church. Historically, the village was a bustling center for the handloom weaving industry, which shaped much of the dense, stone-built architecture seen today. Also my home village.
