Herdwick Sheep sketch | Limited edition fine art print from an original drawing.

Herdwick sheep are a hardy breed native to the Lake District in Northwest England. Lambs are born dark brown or black before turning grey as they mature. They are hefted, meaning they have a natural instinct to stay on their home territory without needing fences. I stood on the rugged fells as the mist cleared, watching these resilient sheep graze peacefully against the stone walls. Capturing their thick, textured fleeces in ink always reminds me of the enduring spirit of the Lake District.
