The Old Man of Coniston is the highest point in the Furness Fells, located in the English Lake District. The summit stands at 803 meters above sea level. Its name is thought to be derived from the Old Norse or Celtic words 'alt maen,' meaning 'high crag.'\n\nStanding at the base of this ancient giant, I felt the silent, enduring strength of the stones pressing against the cool mountain air. I poured that sense of timeless resilience into these strokes, hoping to capture the rugged spirit of the summit that has watched over the valley for ages.
