Waddesdon Manor was commissioned in the late 19th century by Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild to showcase his exceptional collection of art and antiquities.
Designed by French architect Gabriel-Hippolyte Destailleur, the building's striking architecture was directly inspired by famous Loire Valley châteaux. During World War II, the estate served as a temporary home for over one hundred evacuated children.
