Historically, farmhouses were the hub of agricultural activity, providing shelter for the family and serving as storage for crops and tools. Lime wash was traditionally applied to the exterior walls of farmhouses, which provided a natural, breathable, and antibacterial finish. The design of traditional rural houses often incorporated thick stone or brick walls and deep hearths, essential for surviving harsh winters.
I stood before this solitary farmhouse, sensing the stories of resilience etched into its weathered walls by the passing seasons. Capturing this scene allowed me to connect with the quiet dignity of rural life that has endured through the centuries.
