Deathcap fungi  sketch | Limited edition fine art print from an original drawing.

The Deathcap, Amanita phalloides, is considered the deadliest mushroom in the world, responsible for the majority of fatal mushroom poisonings globally. It is native to Europe but has been introduced to other parts of the world through the spread of its symbiotic tree partners, such as oak and chestnut. The toxins in the Deathcap, specifically amatoxins, are heat-stable, meaning they cannot be destroyed by cooking, freezing, or drying.
