Hemlock sketch | Limited edition fine art print from an original drawing.

Hemlock is highly poisonous and contains the alkaloid coniine, which was the method of execution for Socrates. It belongs to the Apiaceae (parsley) family and is often confused with edible plants like wild carrot or chervil. The plant is a biennial, meaning it takes two years to complete its biological life cycle, growing as a rosette in the first year and flowering in the second.
