Moorland stones sketch | One-off original watercolour sketch.

Moorlands are open, uncultivated habitats characterized by acidic soils and low-growing vegetation like heather. Standing stones, or megaliths, are prehistoric monuments often dating back to the Neolithic or Bronze Age, frequently found in upland landscapes like moors. These landscapes are often peat-rich, which helps preserve archaeological remnants for thousands of years.
