Moot hall sketch | Limited edition fine art print from an original drawing.

The Moot Hall in Aldeburgh is one of the oldest timber-framed buildings in England, dating back to the 16th century. It served as the town council meeting place, with the name derived from the Old English 'gemot' meaning an assembly. Coastal erosion has caused the shoreline to recede over time, leaving this structure standing closer to the North Sea than when it was originally built.
